RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

I work on the agro-ecology of interactions, most specifically on the biotic regulations between weed flora and the parasitic plant Phelipanche ramosa in the context of integrated crop protection.

  • Characterization of P. ramosa populations’ genetic variability and impact of weed flora on the parasite’s demographic dynamic.
  • Characterization of the functional traits of P. ramosa contributing to the success of its cycle on its host.
  • Characterization of the phytosanitary risk linked to the modifications in cropping systems and to the change they induce in flora (P. ramosa model).

 

  • Development of a prototype model (PheraSys) for predicting the effect of cropping systems on the dynamic of P. ramosa in interaction with non-parasitic weed flora.
  • Deciphering of the concept of allelopathy as a method for controling P. ramosa.

I also work on the characterization of the infestation and genetic variability of hemiparasite Rhamphicarpa fistulosa populations in Togo.

I am a member of the International Parasitic Plant Society (IPPS) and of the British Ecological Society (BES).
