Activités de Recherche

Our research group studies the induced resistance (IR) of plants -especially grapevine- against diseases by stimulation of their immune system. In this context, our research mainly includes:

-          identification of MAMPs and DAMPS (Molecular- and Damage- associated molecular patterns)-type oligosaccharide elicitors active as resistance inducers and the chemical characteristics (degree of polymerization, presence and nature of lateral chains) conferring their efficacy

-          identification of PRR-like receptors (Pattern Recognition Receptors) in grapevine

-          "metabolic" characterization of IR by global approaches (-omics) and targeted analyses (including volatile organic compounds) and research of  IR "markers".

-           study of factors able to modulate the plant responsiveness to IR (such as the stage of development, biostimulation and mycorrhiza)

The applied objective is to contribute to the development of IR in crop protection strategies.

We also study grapevine defence expression and metabolism evolution during compatible interactions (pathogens responsible for downy mildew and trunk diseases).
